Peter Kay attempted to go incognito as he was seen heading back to his tour bus ahead of the next leg of his comeback tour Better Late Than Never Again.
The comedian, 51, wore a plain black hat and matching fleece as he kept a low profile outside the O2 Arena in south London where he had been rehearsing for his upcoming dates.
In a rare public outing, casually dressed Peter was seen taking off a black Trespass rucksack and holding a white bag as he boarded his massive bus.
Last year, an advert before I’m A Celebrity revealed Peter would be back on the road this year and 2026 after kicking off his record-breaking tour, his first in 12 years, in 2022.
This time, Peter will set off across the UK and Ireland, including his first-ever dates at Aberdeen P&J Live, Brighton Centre, Bournemouth International Centre and Isle of Man Villa Marina.
He will also return to London’s O2 where he previously became the first artist in history to perform a monthly residency in December 2022.
Peter’s return to touring has been lucrative – with Pollstar estimating he has generated more than £27million after smashing sales (one ticket cost an average of £59.70).
This made him the highest-earning touring UK comedian in 2024 and an impressive fourth place on the ranking of the most globally successful tours, eclipsed only by a handful of US comedians.
The only other Brit that came close was Michael McIntyre who rolled in at 15th place with £10m from his tour.
Meanwhile, ahead of him was Nate Bargatze at £56m, Sebastian Maniscalco at £38m and Jerry Seinfeld at £31.16m.
Peter’s 2025/26 leg starts in just a matter of days on Friday, February 7 at the AO Arena in Manchester before ending more than a year later on Thursday, June 5 at the Belfast SSE Arena.
He said in a statement: ‘It’s been wonderful doing what I love most, stand-up comedy.
‘Laughter is more important than ever in these challenging times and with the cost of living still at an all-time high, ticket prices for the new dates will start from £35.’
The tour has also faced some turbulence after various Manchester dates were forced to be rescheduled last minute because ‘Co-op live wasn’t ready’ for a ‘large-scale audience’.
At the end of last year, Peter also made his TV comeback after six years, reprising his role as PC Mackintosh in Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.
The highly-anticipated Christmas Day special surpassed 16.2m viewers in total, making it the most-watched film broadcast on UK TV making it one of the most popular film broadcasts ever.
Peter’s ad-libbing in Wallace and Gromit, however, did confuse some Americans when it landed on Netflix.
Oscar-winning creator Nick Park told The Sun: ‘At one point he’s astonished at something and shouts “Flippin Nora”.
‘One day we did get a note back to ask “Who is Nora and why is she being flipped?’”
Creative director Merlin Crossingham added that he explained: ‘It’s not rude, it’s not an expletive, it’s an innocent turn of phrase.’
